水文地质 at 伊利诺斯州 knows the important role hydrogeologists play in the environment. That’s why our program focuses only on the field of hydrogeology. This ensures you get all the tools you need for a successful career in the private sector, 政府, 或学术界.
You’ll conduct research that makes a real, positive impact. Our broad view of hydrogeology means you can explore your interests in the hydrologic cycle. Some recent research projects include:

大学入学要求
A student applying to a master's program must:
- have earned a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a college or university that is accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association, 或者在一学年之内完成
- present unofficial transcripts from each college or university other than 伊利诺斯州 at which graduate, 本科, 或者获得非学位学分. The unofficial transcript should be easily readable and clearly indicate degree(s) awarded, courses and course grades for each term. Additional Program Admission Requirements
The GRE is not required for this program.
To be considered for this program, you must meet the following requirements.
本科学位和课程
You must have an 本科 degree in Geology with courses in:

另外, there are requirements for secondary science and math which include two semesters of chemistry, 物理, 和微积分.
You may be considered for the program without these courses but would need to be completed at 伊利诺斯州 before graduating with your MS.

研究生助教奖学金
The department strives to provide financial assistance to all graduate students admitted to the program. During the school year, this support is usually either through teaching or research assistantships. During the summer, support can be through a research assistantship or an internship.

- monthly wages paid in the form of either a stipend or an hourly wage
- a waiver for 100% of tuition during a semester of appointment
- a waiver for up to 12 credit hours of tuition for the summer term immediately following a fall or spring appointment
A graduate assistantship usually involves teaching two or three laboratory sections of Principles of Geology, a general education introductory geology course. Other forms of graduate assistantships may also be available. Assistantships that focus on research are subject to funding supplied by an external grant source and are arranged through individual faculty members.
被考虑获得助教奖学金, you must be admitted to the 水文地质 program and have a minimum 平均绩点 of 3.0.
In some cases, students with 平均绩点 less than 3.0 may be admitted on probation and will be considered for assistantship after completing one semester with satisfactory performance.
International students must have a TOEFL iBT speaking sub-section score of 24 or IELTS (academic exam) speaking sub-section score of 8.
